Even though this blog is titled “Diverse Elements”, one pervasive theme is sustaining and growing a business through the experience of a newly-minted entrepreneur. That term ‘entrepreneur’ has gained a lot of currency and more will be said about that in another post.
I decided to go into internet marketing because it’s not bound by arbitrary criteria. The opportunities are varied, expanding, and especially exciting are the dynamics it provides for small business.
This awareness grew with the other increasing significance of small business being the backbone of the economy. I’d heard that for a long time but now I was really listening. My life in information technology following directions by others had changed.
It is certainly clear to me by now that risk is unavoidable, and the biggest risk could be not taking any. A proactive approach is to learn how to manage it.
With that liberating thought I determined to be one of the voices in this exploding field that has revolutionized all aspects of communication. There is a need to understand how all these resources can enhance our effort, and it comes from doing as well as learning.
A number of different sources say as of 2009 there’s no website for more than half of U.S. small businesses [the end of the first decade of the 21st century!], and a significant percentage of those that do are dissatisfied with their online marketing.
Putting up a website is only the first step. There are a number of other strategies that should be employed and they come from a basic understanding of the business and the ways that business is trying to solve (or unaware of) problems. Just having a pretty website doesn’t address those issues.
A great thing in general about internet marketing solutions that I’ve encountered is they can be applied as easily to individuals as to businesses. This makes sense on a number of levels. Using your own product legitimizes recommendations. Another great thing is those solutions reflect actual experience; indispensable in a well-rounded education.
I went into internet marketing because I saw it as complementary to IFG; because I have technical and artistic interests, and interest in growing prosperity all around me.
I’m using diverse elements to realize my dreams. What about you?

hey smart little site ya have there π I work with the exact same theme on my own website and yet for whichever explanation it looks to reload at a higher speed on yours although the one you have is carrying a bit more multimedia. Are you currently employing different plug ins or widgets which speed it up? If you could quite possibly give the names so I can use these on my own websites so twilight breaking dawn followers could watch twilight eclipse online trailers and videos swifter I’d always be grateful – regards ahead of time π
